Sister Ward officially entered the MTC Wed, the 28th of January! It was an emotional day for all of us and saying good bye was hard, but we are all excited because we know Karen is well prepared and eager to share the gospel.
Doesn't she look official? Coleen said that orange dot on her name tag is called the "dork dot", letting everyone know she's new and doesn't know how things work yet.
Gavin spent a few minutes sitting by this statue of Christ.
We had lunch at Seth and Coleen's before heading over to the MTC. This is a picture of my Mom, Karen, and my Dad the night before she left; right before she was set apart. Her Stake President gave her an amazing blessing, blessing her with special gifts to help her on her mission and throughout her life. He also blessed our family with "increased spiritual power". I'm grateful for Karen's example and sacrifice to go serve the Lord.
